Framing Alignment We check framing for plumb, level, and proper spacing before hanging. Out-of-plane framing creates bowed walls that can't be fixed with mud. If we find issues, we address them before hanging starts.

Board Selection Not all drywall is the same. We use the right board for each application:

• 5/8" Type X — fire-rated assemblies, legal suite separations, and sound-rated ceiling assemblies
• Moisture-resistant greenboard — bathrooms, laundry rooms, and other wet areas
• Cement board — tile substrates in showers and wet areas

Hanging Technique Boards hung tight to framing, properly fastened with the right screw pattern, and cut cleanly around electrical boxes, vents, and penetrations. No excessive gaps, no broken cores, no fasteners driven too deep.

Ceiling First We always hang ceilings before walls — standard practice that allows wall boards to support ceiling edges and reduces the number of exposed joints that need finishing.
